The Milwaukee County Zoo is home to more than 30 Nigerian dwarf goats. Nigerian dwarf goats—smallest of the dairy breeds—are gentle, even tempered and wonderful with children. Fun fact: The Zoo’s goats produce milk yummy enough to drink and can be found in butter, cheese, ice cream, soaps and lotions at your grocery store!
Thrivent Members: Show your Live Generously t-shirt to the receptionist in the Zoo Administration office (inside the U.S. Bank Gathering Place) and get a ticket for free goat feed. Then, head to the Goat Yard in the farm and exchange your ticket for goat feed with any Goat Yard attendant. Offer valid May 25 to September 2.
