Important Information

  • The Milwaukee County Zoo does not allow the open or concealed carry of any weapons in any Zoo building or during any posted special event on Zoo grounds.*
  • Carry-ins of alcoholic beverages are not allowed. No glass bottles or glass containers are allowed in the Zoo for the safety of all visitors.
  • The Zoo is a smoke-free attraction. Smoking is only allowed in the Zoo parking lot.
  • For the welfare of the Zoo's animals and visitors, no pets, radios, scooters, skateboards, bicycles, roller skates or in-line skates are allowed in the Zoo.
  • Please do not feed the animals. Zookeepers work hard to keep the animals on nutritional diets.
  • Do not throw coins into any animal exhibit, as they can be fatal to the animals.
  • Pets are not allowed in the Zoo or in a vehicle in the Zoo’s parking lot. Service animals that assist individuals with disabilities and comply with the Milwaukee County ADA Service Animal Procedure are welcome at the Zoo.

Please note: During certain times of the year, the Zoo may decrease hours and services due to limited staff. We make every effort to ensure a rich and enjoyable visit and apologize for any inconvenience.
