Native to: Throughout northern North America including Alaska, Canada, northern Rockies, northern Great Lakes and New England
Primary Diet: Leaves, twigs, bark, roots and shoots of woody plants
Adult Weight: Male – 800 to 1,300 pounds
Female – 600 to 900 pounds
Status: Stable

The American Moose spends most of its time eating. They can run up to 35 miles per hour and rotate their ears 180 degrees.
