Native to: The rainforests of central, west and east Africa
Primary Diet: Small mammals (rodents, small antelope) and birds
Adult Weight: Up to 18 pounds
Status: Common (not endangered or threatened)
Gaboon vipers are the largest vipers in the world, reaching a length of six feet, and are one of the most venomous snakes in the world. Females give birth every two or three years and produce 50-60 babies at a time.
