Karen Peck Katz Conservation Education Center

In 2005, the Karen Peck Katz Conservation Education Center officially opened to the public.  Made possible by Milwaukee County, the Zoological Society and a lead gift from the Lillian and Milton Peck Foundation, the Center features eight classrooms, new computers and a “green roof,” with environmentally friendly plantings.  The spacious building also includes a large, glass-walled atrium with numerous animal artifacts from around the world.  Thousands of students are benefiting from the many educational workshops offered daily.
