The Milwaukee County Zoo is the place to be during these Wednesday evenings to see wild animals and a variety of popular bands during Sunset Zoofari, sponsored by Tri City National Bank: June 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27, and August 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
While enjoying Sunset Zoofari evenings, we welcome visitors into all of our animal buildings (Aviary closes at dusk).
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dirty Boogie will now be playing on July 13 and Pinstripe will be playing on August 3.
The 2011 Sunset Zoofari Concerts:
June 29 – “2nd Wave”
Relive the fabulous 80s as this popular cover band plays favorites from The Cure, R.E.M. and Queen.
July 6 – “3D”
Enjoy the simple sounds of this acoustic cover band performing hits from Styx, Journey and Simon & Garfunkel.
July 13 – “Dirty Boogie”
You’ll enjoy everything from Pop to Rock, as this band features hits from the likes of the BoDeans, Kings of Leon and Black Eyed Peas.
July 20 – “5 Card Studs”
Take a trip back to yesterday and enjoy the soothing sounds of classics from the 60s and 70s.

July 27 – “LoveMonkeys”
Performing a vast array of Pop, Rock and Reggae, this Milwaukee favorite loves to be on stage - and it shows!
August 3 – “Pinstripe”
Three members of the popular Milwaukee band, “The Toys,” play hits from Pop to Rock with a little bit of Country in between.

“Butterflies! In Living Color” sponsored by Sendik’s Food Markets
Meet more than 500 native North American butterflies, fluttering and floating in a tropical greenhouse setting. Painted Ladies, Cloudless Sulphers, Zebra Longwings and Giant Swallowtails - these winged wonders are displayed among lush foliage and winding walkways.
See the amazing metamorphosis of these insects, as they transform from tiny pupae into bright, beautiful butterflies! Step into the colorful world of butterflies and learn how these graceful creatures are joined to our natural world.
