Sunset Zoofari

The Milwaukee County Zoo adds movies to the Tri City National Bank’s Sunset Zoofari lineup on select evenings this summer! Sunset Zoofari now gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy music from popular Milwaukee bands, animated movies that the whole family will enjoy, and favorite animals prehistoric or present, including Otter Passage located at the new West Entrance.

Sunset Zoofari will take place; June 27, July 5, 11, 18, 25, and Aug. 1 with concerts from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Zoo’s Flamingo Patio, and movies starting at dusk at Caribou Field. In the event of rain, the concerts will be held in the Zoo’s U.S. Bank Gathering Place and the movies in the Otto Borchert Family Special Exhibits Building.

There is so much to experience during Sunset Zoofari. Stop by the animal buildings, but keep in mind the Herb & Nada Mahler Family Aviary closes at dusk. Visit the otters at Otter Passage, located at the new West Entrance and travel back in time to meet some of our prehistoric friends at Dinosaurs! A Jurassic Journey, sponsored by Sendik’s Food Markets, open until 8:45 p.m.

Travel back in time 65 million years, and get up-close with some of the most fascinating dinosaur species to have roamed the earth! New dinosaurs will join the Milwaukee County Zoo, including the Elaphrosaurus, a fast, bipedal dinosaur with a long neck, and Suchomimus, a spinosaurid dinosaur known for its big claws and long jaws.
