Sunset Zoofari

The Milwaukee County Zoo is excited to continue offering Sunset Zoofari, sponsored by Tri City National Bank, on select evenings this summer! Sunset Zoofari gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy music from popular Milwaukee bands and movies that the whole family will enjoy, surrounded by their favorite animals, either prehistoric or present, including the recently opened Elephant Care Center, as part of Adventure Africa.

Sunset Zoofari will take place: June 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Concerts will be held at the Zoo’s Flamingo Patio from 6:15 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. and movies will start at dusk at Caribou Field. Please note that carry-ins of alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Events will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, check the Zoo’s Facebook page for location updates.

    Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (PG): It’s Harry’s third year at Hogwarts; not only does he have a new “Defense Against the Dark Arts” teacher, but there is also trouble brewing. Convicted murderer Sirius Black has escaped the wizards’ prison and is coming after Harry.

Sunset Zoofari entertainment continues within our animal exhibits! All animal buildings are open until 8:45 p.m., except the Aviary which will close at dusk. Be sure to stop by and say “hello” to elephants Ruth and Brittany in the new indoor Elephant Care Center!

Visitors have the opportunity to become LEGO® paleontologists in this new interactive exhibit! The exhibit showcases many LEGO recreations of fossils, dinosaur skeletons and paleontologist digs, and also allows guests to participate in interactive play bases. Don’t miss out on the chance to come face-to-face with a Masiokasaurus, a 13-foot-long dinosaur!
