Senior Celebration

The Milwaukee County Zoo invites all seniors age 55+ to relive their childhood memories at the Zoo on Friday, September 1 with Senior Celebration, sponsored by St. Camillus, A Life Plan Community. All seniors receive free admission from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (proof of age required). In honor of Senior Celebration, the Zoo is offering engaging and energizing activities for guests to participate in, including:

  • Health and Wellness Fair: Visit the Peck Welcome Center on your way into the Zoo and learn about health and wellness, designed for you to stay healthy, moving and informed.
  • Dancing Demos: Get your dancing shoes on and be prepared to boogie with two 15-minute line dancing demos offered at Flamingo Gazebo at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and led by the YMCA.
  • Fun Walk: Join us at 10:30 a.m. for a 1-mile walk through the Zoo hosted by Wisconsin Senior Olympics.
  • Train Ride: Take a ride on the popular North Shore Bank Safari Train for a reduced price of $2!
  • Bingo
    Test your luck with a game or two of bingo at the bingo tent, located outside of the train station!
  • Bingo: Let your competitive side out and stop by the bingo tent, located outside of the train station, and compete to win a game or two of bingo! 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Noon to 1 p.m.
  • Entertainment: Enjoy live music while soaking in the sun at the Zoo.
