Egg Day
April 23, 2011
Sponsored by Welch's and Pick 'n Save

Enjoy a host of hoppin’ Easter fun at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Saturday, April 23, as Egg Day, sponsored by Welch’s and Pick ‘n Save, officially gets underway at 9 a.m.! Highlights include:
- U.S. Bank Gathering Place – 10 a.m., Noon and 2 p.m.
Join us for the “Bubble Wonders Show,” as an expert “Bubblologist” creates amazing works of art with….BUBBLES! Bubble tricks include: “the bubble caterpillar,”
“bubble volcano,” “electric dancing bubble,” and the ever popular “bubble merry-go-round!”
- “The Hop-to-It Bunny Scavenger Hunt” – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kids 8 and under can hop to it, and search for special Easter-themed tokens, and redeem them for sweet treats!
- Stearns Family Apes of Africa
In the jungles of Africa, create a bunny nose and whiskers as part of our craft activities!
- Aquatic and Reptile Center
A rainbow of hues is yours to choose as you color a paper Easter egg to take home.
- Primates of the World
Have fun with activities like designing a set of bunny ears taking place among
our primates, which include our youngest (and very popular) orangutan, Mahal.
- Easter Parade – 2 p.m.
Bunnies and chicks and bears, oh my! Meet at the Northwestern Mutual Family Farm, along with the master of ceremonies, the Easter Bunny and his group of costumed characters, and march through the park! You’ll conclude at the Peck Welcome Center with WMYX’s own Van McNeil for a chance to win special prize giveaways.
- Throughout the Zoo
Be on the lookout for our animals to take part in Easter festivities, as they receive special Easter-related enrichment items in their habitats. Enrichment activities keep the animals active and healthy, allowing them to demonstrate behaviors as they would
in the wild.
- New this year! Hop aboard our Safari Train to test your skills counting the many Easter eggs hidden on the wooded and winding route.
Zoo admission is $13.25 for adults, $10.25 for children (3 to 12 years), free for children 2 and under, and $12.25 for senior citizens (60 and older). Milwaukee County residents with I.D. receive $1.75 off regular Zoo admission. Parking is $11. Zoological membership is valid.
