Who said the Zoo is just for kids? The Milwaukee County Zoo invites all seniors age 55+ to enjoy a day of fun and entertainment on Wednesday, September 1 during Senior Celebration. All seniors receive free admission (proof of age required) from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to come relive their childhood memories, and make new ones!

In honor of Senior Celebration, the Zoo is offering special, fun-filled activities for guests to participate in, including:

  • Entertainment sponsored by Network Health: Get your groove on with live music!
    9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Jeff Winard
    9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Close Enuf with Special Guest British Invasion ‘64

  • Bingo: Bingo is fun for all ages! Let your competitive side out and see if you can win a game or two. 10 a.m to 10:45 a.m., 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Noon to 12:45 p.m.

  • Complimentary ice cream: Stop by the Generac Zoo Terrace to cure your sweet tooth!

  • Train Ride: Take a break from walking and see the grounds from a different perspective!

  • Sean Kenney’s Animal Super Powers Made With LEGO® Bricks sponsored by Sendik’s Food Market: Marvel at the mind-blowing and mysterious abilities of animals through awe-inspiring sculptures made from LEGO® bricks.
    Located in the Otto Borchert Family Special Exhibits Building. $3 per person.
