Name-the-Jaguar Cub Contest

Two male jaguar cubs were born at the Milwaukee County Zoo on November 13, 2012.

Mom, Stella, and her cubs are now on public exhibit at the Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country. Everyone can visit the cubs or view them on our cub cam, but now we need names!

  • We’ve invited the children of Belize, Central America to help us name one cub.
  • We invite the public to help us name the other cub.
  • Only names that reflect the heritage or history of the jaguar will be considered.

Thank you to everyone who submitted names for our jaguar cub. We will be announcing both winning names during a special news conference on Wednesday, March 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country. Zoo visitors are invited to join us.
