In 2021, Boo at the Zoo will once again be a re-imagined 1.5-mile drive-thru Halloween experience. Guests will ride on Zoo pathways through themed areas, carved pumpkins, light shows and enjoy Boo at the Zoo all from the comfort of their cars.
New this year! Guests can trick-or-treat from their vehicles! Tasty treats will be handed-out along the route.
This event is a merry-not-scary ride, appropriate for kids of all ages, and kids at heart.
Advanced, online tickets are required, and available beginning Sept. 15 at 8 a.m.
Boo at the Zoo Drive-Thru is a fundraiser, and guest participation directly supports the Milwaukee County Zoo and the 2,200+ animals in our care.
5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.*
Timed entry every 30 minutes
*Last car admittance is at 9 p.m.
General Admission: $55/carload*
Zoo Pass Members: $50/carload* (discount code is BooPass2021)
*A carload is the number of people which cannot exceed the number of seatbelts.

Tickets are nonrefundable and not transferable to a different day or time.
Because of the nature of this experience, entry is only at the purchased time.
What is permitted: Vehicles that are limited to 20 feet in length x 8 feet high. Motorized vehicles only (i.e. no bikes). Motorcycles are allowed.
What is not permitted: Bikes, RV’s, busses, and vehicles exceeding the size limit
About a 30-minute/1.5-mile merry-not-scary Halloween ride. Guests will ride through themed areas, carved pumpkins, a trick-or-treat trail and light shows. Food stops will be available to purchase snacks and treats.
A 1.5-mile route throughout the Zoo grounds- you’ll be driving on the pathways; 30-minute ride
Food and merchandise will be available for purchase in designated areas.
Bring your treat bags for a trick-or-treat experience from your vehicle!
Animals are not viewable during these evenings.
Restrooms will be open for emergency use only.
Face masks are required if emergency use of the bathroom is necessary.

This is a merry-not-scary event, so all ages are welcome. Adults and kids at heart will love it too!
The route is 1.5-miles through the Zoo grounds and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Dusk begins around 6:15 p.m. Consider tickets earlier than this if members of your group would have a better experience before it gets dark. This experience will have music and blinking lights.
Decorations will be on both the passenger and driver sides of the vehicle.
Animals are not viewable during this event.
Yes, there will be food, drink and merchandise stops along the route. Follow the directional signs to pull into the food lanes to purchase your snacks and merchandise.
A restroom for emergency use is available. Face masks are required to use the restrooms.
